Monday LSHD DT Post

Today I have chosen to do another layout for Little Scraps of Heaven Designs DT blog post.  

I got my inspiration from 

Scrap Africa  Sketch Challenge 18

and 

S.W.A.T. Drill#9 Cool Coulour

Scrap Africa's challenge was to do a layout according to their sketch.

The second challenge was from S.W.A.T and that was to use their choice of colour schemes

I ended up doing a back page for an album I am working on.  This is a special Album for my Aunt who will be turning 60.  The page is an ENVELOPE.  Many family members have sent messages for this occasion and hopefully use it to put in all her birthday cards from the day.

The envelope was cut in three pieces.  I ran the top of the envelope through the cuttlebug.

The paper flower was made by securing all the layers of the flower with a brad, then spritzing water on the paper and scrunching the petals.  I have added some stickles to the top of the flower but unfortunaty the light does not show it in this picture.

The flowers are mounted on paper doilies from LSHD.  I also attempted my first ribbon bow and added a button to the top.

For the arrows I put a small stripe of tombo glue on each arrow, let it become tacky and then added my twine on top.

The word "memories" was double matted and put onto some 3D foam squares to give the layout some dimension.
