Sketch challenges

I know it is the middle of the week but I have had a pretty productive week this week.  I am so happy with what I have achieved.  For this challenge I have used sketches from two blog challenges and created a double layout.

This is a bitter sweet page for me!!  My son's horse.  I have had these photos and the paper for a while and never got around to scrapping them.  In January this year DOMINO got injured.  He has been back and forth to the vet a couple of times and a month ago my son was told he needed to be retired from competing. My son started riding him at the age of 8 years and he turns 14 next month.  These photos are of him and his horse competing and Domino and Jason qualified to jump at a country (National) School level last year.  This was his dream and it came true.

Behind the photos you will notice a magazine cover.  This was a publication of the PONY magazine and Domino and Jason were published in the magazine.

I have also used a set of Dominos for this page.  The box cover for the dominos was used as my title. A dear dear friend that has ridden with Jason since he had Domino gave him this set of Dominos as a gift because of his horse's name.  Little did we know how special theses dominos would be until tragedy struck in February this year.  His friend Logan passed away in a freak hiking accident.

Scrapbooking does heal the heart and puts those memories in an album that will never be forgotten.  Today I got my little bit of closure, I hope that Jason will too ............. one day :)

Page one of my sketch is a sketch from Stuck on you Sketches

Page 2 is a sketch from SWAT Drill #14

The page where he was published in the magazine has been folded into a pull out tag.

A double pager combining both sketches.

Thanks for looking ~ Michelle
